The Transition Incentive Program is now open to new applications, projects that have not reached commercial operation (defined as receiving PTO letter) when New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) closed the SREC Program at the 5.1% Milestone on 4/30/2020 and cancelled or expired SRP projects.
Welcome to the Transition Incentive Program (TI) Online Application Portal. Beginning May 1, 2020 ALL TI Applications MUST be submitted through this application portal. This will allow you to enter an application, save and update information, upload required documents and check the status of your applications(s) at any time.
When entering your first application, you will be prompted to set up a secured log-in and profile. The log-in will be required to submit additional applications or to view the status of an application. ALL correspondence will be sent to the email designated in your profile. Hard copy letters will not be issued.
If you currently have a log in that was used in the SREC Registration Program (SRP), you can use the same log in for the TI application online portal.
Per Board Order dated 11/18/2020, In the Matter of a New Jersey Solar Transition Pursuant to P.L. 2018, C.17-Order Addressing TREC Eligibility for Projects Commencing Commercial Operations Before Program Establishment;
Any application submitted in the Transition Incentive Program (TI) that has a permission to operate dated prior to May 1, 2020 must submit a complete Post Construction Certification package (Final As -Built) in the TI application portal no later than December 30, 2020 at 11:59:59 PM EST. Projects in this class that fail to submit a Complete Post Construction Certification package by December 30, 2020 at 11:59:59 PM EST shall not be eligible for the TI Program.
TI Applications with a PTO dated prior to May 1, 2020 that submit a complete Post Construction Certification Packet by the above deadline will be eligible for a 15- year TREC qualification life that begins on the date the permission to operate was issued by the Electric Distribution Company. Eligibility to generate TRECs will begin on May 1, 2020 and will not extend back to the date of PTO, if that date precedes May 1, 2020.
If a new TI application is submitted after 12/30/2020 and the Post Construction Certification Packet includes a PTO dated prior to May 1, 2020, the application will no longer be eligible to participate in the TI Program and the application will be rejected.
Projects that were transferred from SRP to TI portal, please complete the following task:
Projects under the status of Eligible for TI Program are required to complete the transfer to the TI Program by selecting a Project Type and Interconnection Type that represents the type of installation. Once these tasks have been complete, the project will move back to the previous status of your SRP registration. If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com.
